Lavanya’s (lack of an) Old Website
What She Wanted:
A simple and straightforward website
Something that felt approachable
Colors and a feeling that reflected her ancestery
Where We Started:
Lavanya didn’t have a website when we met. She had hired someone to create one years ago, but described it as “black and white” and “lifeless.” She had recently hired a photographer and wanted to use the photos from that photo shoot as much as possible.

What We Focused On:
Lavanya loved the imagery of nature but didn’t want to fall into the trap of using typical “therapisty” nature scenes. We used some photos she had taken of herself in nature, and I added some backgrounds to reflect her strong and steady strength, represented with a wave, and a cherry blossom branch.
She chose a color combination that was bright a vibrant that you might find in a sari.
I drafted website copy based on our conversation about the clients she wants to attract and the work she wants to do.
